Next saturday, the 21st of June, we’ll have a sayonara party for the family Goto. They’ll be leaving the Netherlands, so we’re seeing them off with a post-practice drink. Please join us for some friendly fun :)Volgende zaterdag, de 21e Juni, is het helaas tijd om afscheid te nemen van de familie Goto. Ze vertrekken uit Nederland.

On Saturday the 26th of April there will be NO training. Not in Amstelveen and not in Almere. This is due to the national holiday King’s Day.Wegens Koningsdag is er op 26 April a.s. geen training. Niet in Amstelveen, en niet in Almere.
Everyone, make sure to attend class next Tuesday! Furuya-sensei will be passing through the Netherlands, on his way to a tournament in South America and he will come to teach and inspect.Iedereen! Kom a.s. dinsdag allemaal naar de dojo en train hard mee! Furuya-sensei is op doortocht door Nederland, onderweg naar een toernooi in Zuid Amerika, en hij komt les geven en inspecteren.
Saturday march 1st, Renshinjuku Amstelveen will be CLOSED. Most of our kendoka will attend the Iijima Cup in Amsterdam.
There WILL be training at the Almere dojo, in the morning.Zaterdag 1 maart is Renshinjuku Amstelveen GESLOTEN. We houden geen training omdat de meeste van onze kendoka naar de Iijima Cup toe zijn.
In de ochtenduren is er WEL training in Almere.
On the 8th of february we will be saying good bye to Tsuyuguchi-sensei, who will be leaving the Netherlands.
Please join us for vigorous training and drinks afterwards.Op 8 februari nemen wij afscheid van Tsuyuguchi-sensei, die Nederland weer gaat verlaten.
Doe mee aan een stevige training en sluit je daarna aan bij de afscheidsborrel.

Hi everyone! I hope you are well! It’s december again, so it’s time for the holidays. As always that affects our dojo’s goings-on in a few ways.
Holidays
Because of the holidays our dojo will be closed on the following dates:
Farewell drinks
Unfortunately the Tomokio family will be leaving us for now. We would like to send them off in style, so we’re having farewell drinks on the 14th of december after class (at 18:00)
Nieuwjaarsbuffet
Like every year, we’ll be holding our New Year’s buffet. This time it’s on january 11th. From 18:00 onwards we’ll share a nice meal to ring in the new year.
The buffet is “pot luck”, so please bring a nice meal to share. Don’t focus on desserts please, as we always have more than enough of those ;)Hallo allemaal! Ik hoop dat jullie het goed maken. Het is weer december, dus tijd voor de feestdagen. Zoals altijd heeft dat wat invloed op onze dojo.

In verband met feestdagen en dergelijk zijn de dojo’s op de volgende dagen gesloten:
Afscheidsborrel
Helaas gaat de familie Tomokio ons verlaten. We willen graag in stijl afscheid van ze nemen, dus op 14 december wordt er na de les (om 18:00) een gezellige borrel gehouden.
Nieuwjaarsbuffet
Zoals elk jaar houden wij ons traditionele nieuwjaarsbuffet, dit maal op 11 januari. Van 18:00 tot 20:30 kunnen we met z’n allen het nieuwe jaar inluiden met een lekkere maaltijd.
Het buffet is “pot luck”, dus breng alsjeblieft een lekker maaltje mee om te delen. Zo min mogelijk desserts alsjeblieft, daar hebben we altijd genoeg van ;)
Today the last NKR central training of 2013 was held in Sporthallen Zuid, in Amsterdam. It was this year’s last chance to take part in shinsa: kendo examinations.
I would very much like to congratulate Loek Wertwijn-sempai, who achieve his 3rd dan grade today. Great work Loek! Unfortunately I didn’t make shodan myself, so I’ll work extra hard next year!
The training itself was well-visited, with roughly sixty kendoka from all over the country. Unfortunately not too many of our Renshinjuku friends attended. Hopefully we’ll have a larger presence next time!Vandaag was de laatste NKR centrale training van 2013, in Sporthallen Zuid te Amsterdam. Het was de laatste mogelijkheid om dit jaar deel te nemen aan shinsa: kendo examens.
Ik wil heel graag Loek Wertwijn-sempai felicitere, die vandaag zijn 3e dan-graad heeft behaald. Goed werk Loek! Ik heb zelf helaas mijn shodan niet gehaald, dus ik ga komend jaar extra hard aan de slag!
De training zelf was druk bezocht, met ongeveer zestig kendoka uit het hele land. Helaas waren er maar weinig mensen van Renshinjuku. Hopelijk hebben we volgende keer een grotere aanwezigheid!
